This piece was written in reverence to the unseeable beauty and covert genius of the fungal networks that thread through the soil, and to the myriad other decomposers that work in concert with them to enable natureʼs cycle of birth, growth, death, and regeneration. It pairs sonic depictions of life on the forest floor with my imaginings of the wordless conversations going on beneath our feet.
